Information

A government-funded scholarship programme enabling international students to pursue Master’s or PhD study at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). The scholarship covers tuition waiver, a monthly stipend, accommodation support or subsidy, and basic medical insurance. The programme recruits non-Chinese citizens from around the world for full-time graduate study and research at UCAS institutes.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, be proficient in English or Mandarin, meet education background requirements (Master applicants: bachelor-equivalent degree; PhD applicants: master-equivalent degree) and age limits (Master ≤35 years; PhD ≤40 years). Applicants must not be current recipients of other sponsorships and must study full time.

Application

Submit scholarship application via the Online CSC Application System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) using UCAS agency number 80001 and obtain the CSC Application Form; submit the Provisional Acceptance Form if pre-admission is required; register and submit the same application data in UCAS Online Admission System (https://is.ucas.ac.cn/#/login) and choose “Chinese Government Scholarship”.
