UNU-WIDER Visiting PhD Fellowship 2026

The UNU-WIDER Visiting PhD Fellowship Programme allows registered PhD students to use UNU-WIDER resources for their dissertation research on developing economies, and to collaborate with UNU-WIDER researchers. Fellows typically spend about three consecutive months at UNU-WIDER, prepare research papers, and may present a seminar; there is also potential for publication in the WIDER Working Paper Series.

Travel to and from the location; monthly stipend; medical insurance; potential publication in the WIDER Working Paper Series.

Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD programme and able to conduct research on developing economies; early-career, female, and developing country researchers are particularly encouraged.
