The J-PAL’s MENA Scholars Fellowship 2026 is a two-year fellowship designed for MENA region-based researchers to develop skills in designing and conducting randomized evaluations of poverty reduction and social development policies. Fellows participate in mentoring, training, networking, and contribute to a randomized evaluation within the region, with additional opportunities for media coverage and policy engagement.

Eligibility

MENA region-based researchers; two tracks for PhD students and academic scholars; proficiency in Arabic and English; familiarity with Stata or R recommended; interest in impact evaluation in poverty and development in the MENA region.
