Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Undergraduates

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Undergraduates is a South Korean government scholarship to bring international students to Korea for undergraduate study. The program is described as fully funded and includes support such as tuition, airfare, living expenses and Korean language training. It is administered by the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for International Education (NIIED).

Applicants and their parents must be non-Korean citizens; applicants must be under 25 years old as of 2026-03-01, have graduated or be expected to graduate from high school by 2026-03-01, hold sufficient academic grades (80% or top 20%), and be in good mental and physical health.

Choose Embassy Track (apply to Korean embassy, may select up to three universities) or University Track (apply to one participating university); prepare and submit required documents (transcripts, diplomas, recommendations, personal statement, study plan, proof of citizenship); possible interviews or entrance exams and medical examination after selection.
