Information
A national programme that identifies talented pre-university students in physics and prepares the best for participation in the International Physics Olympiad. Top students are selected from the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) High School Prize Exam results. Selected students are invited to a National Training Camp (UBC Vancouver) and the top five from the camp form Team Canada for the International Physics Olympiad. The 2026 National Training Camp is scheduled for May 17–24, 2026 and Team Canada will compete at the 56th International Physics Olympiad in Bucaramanga, Colombia, July 4–12, 2026.

Eligibility
Pre-university students (high-school and CÉGEP); top students are selected from the CAP High School Prize Exam results and must satisfy International Physics Olympiad eligibility rules.
Application
Selection is based on results of the CAP High School Prize Exam; teachers and regional organisers identify and refer promising students.
