Information

A two-week summer school held at a UK university to introduce modern mathematical research to enthusiastic undergraduate students. The programme combines short lecture courses, problem-solving sessions and colloquium-style talks from leading mathematicians. Around 50 places are available each year and the event is organised as a hybrid meeting with in-person accommodation for students and online participation for additional attendees. The scheme is managed and funded overall by the London Mathematical Society through its Early Career Research Committee.

Eligibility

Aimed at UK undergraduate students who will enter their final year the following Autumn; UK institutions are invited to nominate three candidates who must have completed at least two full academic years of an undergraduate degree in mathematics/statistics at the time of the Summer School and be continuing their mathematics undergraduate degree after the Summer School.
