A Brazilian-German WE-Heraeus seminar bringing together primarily scientists from Brazil and Germany, with participants from other countries, to discuss challenges and prospects for quantum gases in spatial dimensions lower than three. The meeting includes plenary sessions, contributed talks by some young participants, and poster sessions. Topics highlighted include two-dimensional quantum gas systems, quantum gases in microgravity bubble traps, photon Bose-Einstein condensates, and anyonic statistics in one-dimensional lattices. The seminar is scheduled to be held at Instituto Principia in São Paulo, Brazil.
