Rhodes East Africa Scholarships 2027

The Rhodes East Africa Scholarships 2027 is a fully funded postgraduate award enabling talented young people from Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania or Uganda to study full-time at the University of Oxford. The scholarship covers university fees and provides a stipend, with additional support for visa costs and travel. Selection is merit-based and aims to develop public-spirited leaders and international understanding.

Course fees, annual stipend (£20,400 for 2026-27), visa costs, IHS, two economy flights, settling-in allowance.

Citizenship of Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania or Uganda; residency in one or more of these countries or in Kenya for at least five of the last ten years; age 18-24 on 1 October 2026 or under 27 on 1 October 2026 with an undergraduate degree completed after 1 July 2025; undergraduate degree required by July 2027.
