About this opportunity

Fellowship hosted at the Medical Research Council Unit The Gambia at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. It provides hands-on experience across clinical trials, epidemiology, modelling & machine learning, and bioinformatics for early-career African scientists. The fellowship lasts 12 months and includes mentorship from experienced biostatisticians and researchers, with access to the ISEP network for continued learning and collaboration.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals and residents of Sub-Saharan African countries; must hold a BSc (min 2:1) in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field and an MSc (GPA ≥ 3.2) in Biostatistics, Health Data Science, or related discipline; at least 1 year of relevant work experience; proficient in coding with R, Stata, or SAS (or willing to improve). PhD applicants are encouraged to apply.
