Information

The Carnegie Masters Grants provide financial support for eligible postgraduate Master’s students in Scotland, focusing on low-income households. The grants help cover remaining tuition costs after the SAAS loan and may include additional study-related expenses, enabling broader access to postgraduate education in Scotland.

Benefits

Funding toward tuition costs beyond the SAAS loan and potential additional support for eligible study expenses; non-repayable funding for eligible students.

Eligibility

Applicants must be ordinarily resident in Scotland, have a meaningful connection to Scotland, live in a lower-income household, hold an offer to study an eligible master’s programme at a Scottish university, and not already possess a master’s degree. Applications cover full-time, part-time (minimum 0.5 FTE), and distance learning Master’s programmes.

Application

Applicants first apply for the SAAS postgraduate tuition fee loan, then submit an application to the Carnegie Education Fund for remaining costs and any eligible additional expenses.
