The IOCAFRICA Ocean–Climate Working Group is a technical and strategic platform established under the IOC-UNESCO to connect science, policy, and climate action. It aims to strengthen Africa’s leadership in ocean–climate issues by providing expert support to African Member States, contributing to regional and international ocean and climate discussions, and developing policy briefs and guidance. Selected experts will participate in shaping climate resilience strategies and advancing ocean-based climate solutions.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from researchers, policy experts, ocean and climate professionals, early-career researchers, women scientists, and professionals from underrepresented African regions.
