NWO Talent Programme Veni

Applicants must have obtained a PhD within the allowed eligibility period (for Veni 2026: PhD obtained within three years before reference date 1 January 2026 or between 1 January 2026 and 1 September 2026, with possible extensions for certain personal or career circumstances). Applicants must be developing toward research independence and must carry out the project at an NWO-recognised institution in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Nationality does not restrict eligibility.

Develop an independent research proposal, identify and secure an eligible NWO-recognised host institution in the Netherlands, prepare application documents (research proposal, CV, PhD information, career details, motivation) and submit according to the programme's application procedure.
