Fulbright-Schuman Doctoral Research Grant

The Fulbright-Schuman Programme offers grants to EU citizens for study, research or lecturing in the United States, focusing on EU affairs, European integration, or US-EU relations. It includes several grant types, including Doctoral Research, Post-Doctoral Research and Lecturing, among others, with support for living costs, travel, and health benefits. The Doctoral Research track requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and relevant international academic or professional experience across two or more EU Member States.

Monthly stipend for living costs, coverage of tuition-related expenses, travel stipend, health benefits, pre-departure support, visa sponsorship, access to alumni network, and in-country programme access.

Citizenship in an EU Member State; minimum of a bachelor’s degree; academic or professional experience of 3+ months in two or more EU Member States.

Complete an online application and provide documents including CV, study/research objectives, transcripts, letters of recommendation, and admission or affiliation letter from a US host institution.
