Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center Fellowship 2027–2028

The Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center Fellowship is a nine-month residential programme at The New York Public Library for outstanding scholars, journalists, translators, creative writers and selected visual artists. Fellows receive a stipend and access to the Library’s resources, with the fellowship designed for projects that require sustained access to the Library’s collections in New York City.

Stipend of $90,000 for the nine-month term, private office with computer, full access to Library resources, integration into an interdisciplinary community.

Open to academics, independent scholars, journalists, novelists, playwrights, poets, translators, nonfiction writers and visual artists; applicants must demonstrate that their project requires access to The New York Public Library’s research collections; the programme is international.
