The City Bureau Civic Information Fellowship 2026 is a paid, six-month, two-phase fellowship for Chicago residents to develop skills in community engagement, civic participation and journalism. Fellows design and implement group projects to improve neighbors’ access to information, with early emphasis on the South and West sides of Chicago. The program includes weekly learning sessions and stipends across two phases totaling $7,800 over the full fellowship.
