Research Ireland Discover Scholarships 2026

The Research Ireland Discover Programme 2026 is a competitive funding call for organizations based in Ireland to design public engagement and education projects linked to research and innovation. It provides funding of up to €300,000 per project for up to two years to support education, outreach, and engagement activities that connect researchers with society across disciplines. The programme is aimed at institutions and organizations rather than individuals and encourages interdisciplinary engagement with humanities, social sciences, and STEM.

Financial support for project implementation, opportunities to collaborate with government and research bodies, and capacity for public engagement activities.

Open to organizations based in the Republic of Ireland or formally partnered with an eligible Irish organization, including universities, state bodies, NGOs, charities, and private organizations. International collaboration is allowed, but non-Irish applicants cannot apply independently.

Applications must be submitted through the SESAME online system; includes institutional registration, proposal and compliance documentation, internal approval, and final submission before the deadline.
