AAUW International Project Grants 2026

AAUW International Project Grants provide funding to International Fellowship alumnae who return to their home countries to lead community-based initiatives that advance gender equity and improve the lives of women and girls. The program supports locally grounded projects with targeted funding to empower women and girls in their communities.

Grant funding of $15,000 for the project and the ability to implement community-based initiatives addressing gender equity.

Applicants must identify as a woman, be an AAUW International Fellowship alumna who completed the program and all reporting requirements by June 30 of the application year, reside in and implement the project in their home country (with displacement exceptions), and be the primary project director with control over the project and budget; the project should directly benefit women and girls; recipients must be non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
