AWJP/DW Akademie Gender + AI Reporting Fellowship 2025

The AWJP/DW Akademie Gender + AI Reporting Fellowship is a four-month programme for women journalists based in Kenya. It includes online training on AI literacy and gender-sensitive reporting, one-on-one mentorship, and a stipend with microgrants to support original journalism projects focused on AI and gender. Fellows are expected to produce multiple journalistic outputs during the fellowship and participate in a final showcase and networking activities.

Stipend, microgrants, access to AI tools, editorial and design support, mentorship from journalists, networking opportunities, and a certificate of completion.

Open to women journalists based in Kenya, including staff or freelance journalists, who meet the criteria outlined in the call for applications.
