South Africa Government Grant (NRF) 2026/2027

The South Africa Government Grant (NRF) is a funded programme offering master's and doctoral study support. It is administered by the National Research Foundation (NRF) in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education and targets both South African and international students, with priority for African nationals and development partners. The grant provides full or partial funding, potential research and travel allowances, and covers studies at public South African universities.

Funding for tuition/fees, living stipend, accommodation, research allowance, and travel support for conferences (where applicable).

Citizens of South Africa and international students are eligible, with priority for African nationals and development partners.
