About this opportunity
The Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant 2025 provides financial support and ongoing assistance to young and emerging photojournalists. The grant supports a selected project with funding, mentorship, equipment loan, and promotional opportunities, including publication of images by a media partner. The grant aims to spotlight new talent in photojournalism and includes a network of past recipients and industry support.
Benefits & funding
£10,000 toward the project, publication by The Guardian, equipment loan for 1 year, inclusion in a portfolio review, year-long mentorship, and additional opportunities including a training assignment and potential body armour/training for conflict scenarios for one recipient; long-listed applicants may receive recognition.
Eligibility
If you turned 25 years of age (or younger) within the year you are entering, you are eligible to apply; if you are 25 or older, you must be enrolled in a full-time photographic course to apply.

Submit an application including personal details, proof of age or student status if applicable, a 12-image portfolio, a project description, a clear project proposal, and extended captions as a PDF.
