Program AKCE Česká republika – Rakouská republika – spolupráce ve vědě a vzdělávání

The Program AKCE is a bilateral Czech–Austrian cooperation programme in science and education that supports academic exchange and collaborative research between universities and higher education institutions of both countries. It funds activities that strengthen the scientific and pedagogical potential of universities and supports mobility of master's students (for thesis-related research stays), doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers and academic staff. The programme also supports participation in summer language courses and summer schools and aims to foster networking and cooperation in the Central European region.

Support for academic mobility and collaborative projects between Czech and Austrian higher education institutions; support for master's thesis research stays, doctoral and postdoctoral research or habilitation stays, academic research or teaching visits, and participation in summer language courses and summer schools.

Mobility and project support is intended for master's students working on a thesis requiring a research stay in the partner country, doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers, and academic staff for research or teaching stays; the programme also supports participation in summer language courses and summer schools.

Applications are submitted through project calls announced by the programme (project call for 2025 announced on 2024-09-11); specific application details and deadlines are provided in the individual calls.
