Wetenschappelijke Bijeenkomsten en Ontmoetingen (WBO) 2026

The Wetenschappelijke Bijeenkomsten en Ontmoetingen (WBO) 2026 is a funding instrument from NWO to support organisation of scientific meetings and encounters that foster formation of new teams and consortia. It focuses primarily on research in the exact and natural sciences (ENW) but can also be in collaboration with other domains. The programme provides financial contributions for meeting costs and is intended to facilitate academic networking and exchange rather than fund research activities directly.

Bijdrage in huur van faciliteiten, verblijfskosten van deelnemers (koffie, thee, lunch, overnachting), reis- en verblijfskosten van gastsprekers, en kosten voor digitale platformen/registratie/opname.

Professors, university (senior) lecturers, other researchers with a comparable position, postdocs and PhD candidates may submit an application provided they have a paid appointment at one of the listed Dutch institutions for at least the duration of the application process and until the date of the meeting.

Aanvragen dienen ingediend te worden via het ISAAC-aanvraagportaal; NWO behandelt aanvragen die aan formele eisen voldoen op volgorde van binnenkomst en geeft één gelegenheid tot correctie.
