Information

Code for Africa offers stipend-based Fellowships to fourteen African Data Scientists and storytellers to empower youth voices and promote a secure digital space through gender projects. The fellowship is part of a collaborative initiative involving Code for Africa and partners, focusing on topics such as cybersecurity, e-democracy, and human rights in the African context.

Benefits

Monthly stipend of USD 250; hands-on training, one-on-one mentorship, and ongoing support from CfA’s team.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a registered WanaData member with at least one year of experience as a data scientist or data storyteller, have a portfolio of published work, and be based in or able to engage with the Sahel region, neighbouring West Africa, or the Horn of Africa (or exceptional applicants from elsewhere in Africa).
