Engagementstipendien (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes)

The Engagementstipendien is a special programme of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes that supports funded students who wish to dedicate themselves full-time for a limited period to societally relevant, project-based work in Germany or abroad. The stipend provides a monthly living allowance during project execution and additional support for foreign projects and project costs. Recipients may also receive networking opportunities and further institutional support related to civic engagement.

Monthly project stipend (€1,245), monthly foreign allowance for abroad projects (€200), country-specific travel costs, and a possible project cost subsidy (up to €2,000); networking and institutional support.

The programme is aimed at Studienstiftung-funded students of all subjects who are engaged in substantial, project-related civic initiatives during study, between bachelor and master, immediately after a master/state exam, or during doctoral studies.
