Studienstiftung scholarship

The Studienstiftung scholarship is a programme to support academically excellent young people in Germany through nomination or self-application. Candidates may be proposed by authorised persons and institutions or may apply themselves via a selection test in early undergraduate semesters. There are specific application routes for applicants at art and music colleges and for doctoral candidates. The programme provides cohort-based scholarship support administered by the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.

Proposals may be made by school principals, university teaching staff, examination offices, cooperation partners and student competitions, alumni, and specific proposers for artistic/musical/design/theatre fields; students in their first or second semester may self-apply via a selection test; doctoral candidates can be proposed for funding.
