Information

The Max-Planck–Weizmann Postdoc Program is a jointly run, competitive four-year postdoctoral appointment hosted by the Max‑Planck‑Gesellschaft (MPG) and the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS). Appointments are split roughly half-and-half between MPG and WIS and provide employment under German terms with access to resources at both institutions. The programme supports collaborative, interdisciplinary research across life, natural and related sciences and includes salary, insurance, relocation support and travel funds.

Benefits

Four-year salary (TVöD E13 scale), up to €3,000/year travel support for conferences/workshops, relocation assistance, health/care/pension/unemployment insurance, access to institutional resources and research facilities, housing allowance during WIS stay.

Eligibility

Outstanding postdoctoral researchers whose PhD was awarded no more than four years prior; applicants are expected to secure joint host researchers at both MPG and WIS and provide supporting documentation including CV, research statement, at least three recommendation letters and host support letters.
