The Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography (XIEG) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is recruiting long-term scientific and technological talent for research on arid land resources and the environment. Positions include leading scientific and technological talents, outstanding young talents, and special research assistants (full-time postdoctoral fellows). Appointments offer institutional positions, start-up research funding, negotiated salaries, transitional housing or housing subsidies, and other support for family and living needs. The recruitment covers a broad range of disciplines including ecology, biology, geography, geology, remote sensing, GIS and related fields.

Eligibility

Leading talents: age ≤ 50 and equivalent to associate professor or higher; Outstanding young talents: age ≤ 40 with at least three years research experience or associate-professor-equivalent experience; Special Research Assistant (postdoc): age ≤ 35 with a Ph.D. and at least two representative research outputs. Some age or experience requirements may be relaxed for exceptional candidates.
