Top Researchers – Researcher Projects to Develop World Leading Research Communities

Top Researchers is a grant call to fund curiosity-driven and bold research projects that can advance the state-of-the-art and help Norwegian research environments develop into world-leading communities. Funding is allocated to projects where collaboration between two or more named researchers is a prerequisite. The call accepts basic and applied research across all research areas and is intended for large projects with experienced project managers.

Only approved Norwegian research organisations may apply as project owners. Project managers must have at least 6 years after PhD; at least one other project participant must have at least 2 years after PhD.

Submit an application through the Research Council of Norway's application portal; applications are processed as received. Project start must be planned 8–18 months after submission.
