Verification: Research Commercialisation from Publicly Funded Research Organisations

A Research Council of Norway call funding verification projects that mature and validate technologies and innovations originating from publicly funded research organisations. Projects must build on research results with novelty and application potential and clarify critical questions to enable market uptake or other societal exploitation. The call is open to all subject areas and targets projects at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 2–7. The aim is to increase commercial exploitation and societal innovation from publicly funded research.

Project funding to mature and validate research-based innovations to enable next steps toward market uptake or societal exploitation.

Project Owner must be an approved Norwegian research organisation, a technology transfer office (with the research organisation as partner), or a start-up company originating from an approved research organisation. There are restrictions on which actors may participate together and requirements for declarations of rights and company status for start-ups.
