Information

The Celebrate Canada funding program provides financial support for activities organized on National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21), Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (June 24), Canadian Multiculturalism Day (June 27) and Canada Day (July 1). The program funds eligible Canadian organizations to deliver non-commercial community celebrations and related activities. Federal, provincial and territorial governments are generally not eligible, with specified exceptions. Applications are made through the Canadian Heritage funding portal according to published guidelines.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include Canadian not-for-profit organizations, Canadian business corporations for non-commercial projects, Canadian educational institutions, municipal governments and institutions, Indigenous Peoples institutions or organizations, and local band/tribal councils or other local Indigenous governments or organizations. Federal, provincial and territorial governments are not eligible (with specified exceptions).
