Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI) Summer Programs

The Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI) offers a coordinated set of summer programs—Graduate Summer School, Research Program in Mathematics, Undergraduate Faculty Program, and Undergraduate Summer School—providing participants with intensive lectures, research collaboration, seminars, and project labs focused on a chosen mathematical theme. PCMI is an annual outreach initiative of the Institute for Advanced Study and runs as a three-week residential program. Programs are cohort-based and include cross-program activities such as plenary talks, discussions, and an Experimental Math Lab for mentored small-group projects.

Intensive mini-courses and lectures, research seminars and collaboration opportunities, cross-program plenary talks and discussions, mentored Experimental Math Lab projects, and access to lecture recordings.

Separate subprograms target undergraduates, graduate students and early-career researchers, faculty with interests in undergraduate teaching and research, and advanced researchers whose work relates to the program topic.

Applicants apply through the Institute for Advanced Study application process; a call for applications and detailed instructions will be posted on the PCMI/IAS website on or before November 1, 2026.
