The Digital Energy Challenge 2025 for Start-ups invites early-stage energy-focused tech start-ups in Africa to compete for support to scale digital projects that improve energy access, grid management, and decarbonisation. Winners receive grant funding, technical assistance, and a boot camp, with a focus on projects that enhance energy access and the energy transition in Africa.
Benefits
Financial grant up to €150,000, technical assistance, and a boot camp with sector insights; participation in a communications campaign during and after the selection process.
Eligibility
Start-ups created less than 10 years ago, in pre-seed/early-stage financing, with annual turnover under €1M and 1-99 full-time employees. NGOs can apply if they meet additional criteria and are structured to be sustainable.
