The Digital Energy Challenge Call for Projects 2026 invites innovative SMEs to apply for funding and support in developing digital and AI-enabled solutions to improve energy access and efficiency in Africa. It offers two categories: a Tech Accelerator for projects in specified African countries and a Partnership for a Nigerian project with AEDC, with funding and expert support for winners.
Benefits
Grants to cover costs, expert project-management support, bootcamps, sector insights, collaboration opportunities with African utilities, visibility through campaigns, and access to the Digital Energy Community.
Eligibility
Open to innovative SMEs that employ fewer than 250 people, have turnover under €50M, are independent, have a strong R&D component, and have no conflict of interest with AEDC.
