York Black Research Seed Fund 2025

The York Black Research Seed Fund 2025 provides a grant of up to $25,000 to support new and early career researchers who have a development-phase project and require funds along with mentorship to generate primary results. The fund supports research that benefits Black communities and may focus on political, environmental, economic, social, cultural, health and legal areas, among others. Emerging researchers may apply to further their research and strengthen their future funding applications.

Black scholars, pre-tenured faculty members, and post-doctoral fellows may apply. Existing grantees are not eligible to apply until their current projects are completed.
