About this opportunity
The Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) 2026 is a two-year scheme that places highly experienced industrial scientists and entrepreneurs in UK universities for one day a week to develop bespoke projects. It aims to expose staff and students to state-of-the-art industrial research and to promote innovation, translation of research, and entrepreneurship. The program includes salary support, travel and project costs, and opportunities for conference attendance and training.

Eligibility
Open to applicants who have a background in science and engineering and who can demonstrate experience in industry, university–industry collaborations, entrepreneurship, or mentoring. Applicants may be employed full-time, part-time, or self-employed.
