Becas SER

The SER Scholarships (Sector Empresarial Regional) are a government-coordinated financial aid program in Colombia to cover tuition and living costs for undergraduate students from lower-income backgrounds. The program is funded through private-sector tax contributions and administered with participation from the Ministry of Education, ICETEX and partner universities. It aims to support students from socioeconomically disadvantaged strata to pursue higher education across participating institutions.

Tuition coverage and student maintenance allowances as determined by participating institutions

Applicants must be Colombian residents belonging to stratum 1, 2 or 3, have taken the SABER 11 exam or equivalent within the required dates, not already hold another government-funded scholarship, and meet the minimum Sisbén scores established by participating institutions.

Applications are routed through the Banco de Programas de Becas del Ministerio de Educación (Banco de Programas de Becas) and through the participating higher education institutions.
