Grants are awarded by the London Mathematical Society and are paid to a university or institution rather than to individuals.

Benefits

Financial support up to £2,000 toward travel, accommodation, subsistence, visa costs and Caring Costs; split payment with final payment on receipt of satisfactory reports.

Eligibility

Grant applicants can be mathematicians based anywhere in the world but grants will only be awarded for activities taking place within Africa. PhD students are not eligible to apply.

Application

Submit a completed Mathematics in Africa application form (PDF or Word) to the LMS Grants Administrator; queries may be addressed to the Grants Administrator or Chair of the Research Grants Committee. Grants require a satisfactory financial and academic report for final payment.
