IIE Scholar Rescue Fund

The IIE Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF) provides fellowships to threatened and displaced professors, researchers, and public intellectuals to undertake temporary academic appointments at host institutions in safe locations worldwide. The programme supports continuation of teaching, research and scholarly activity, relocation where needed, and professional development, with the aim of protecting academic freedom and knowledge. Fellowships typically last about 9–12 months and may be renewed in some cases.

Up to US$30,000 fellowship grant; individual health insurance; relocation assistance; professional development and networking opportunities

Applications are open to threatened professors, researchers, and public intellectuals from around the world across all academic disciplines.
