John Monash Scholarship

The John Monash Scholarship is a prestigious Australian postgraduate award enabling recipients to undertake master’s or PhD studies overseas in any field at an international university. It funds between 14 and 20 scholarships annually to support recipients in gaining world-class expertise and contributing to Australia's future. The programme is open to Australians of all ages and study areas, and supports study overseas commencing in 2026 or later.

Stipend for up to three years; funds can be used to cover tuition fees, accommodation and other living expenses.

The scholarship is open to Australian citizens who have completed (or will complete by 31 December 2025) an undergraduate degree at an Australian university and plan to start a full-time master’s degree or PhD at an accredited university outside Australia, commencing no earlier than 2026.

Submit an application via the provider’s scholarship portal with required documents (CV, transcripts, letters of recommendation, budget plan, and other specified materials).
