Latin American Scholars Grants 2026

The Latin American Scholars Grants 2026 are funded by the Society for Latin American Studies (SLAS) to support scholars based in Latin America who wish to attend the SLAS conference in person, present their research, and develop academic collaborations with SLAS members. Ten awards are typically offered, with each recipient receiving up to £1,750 to contribute toward conference participation costs, including registration, travel and accommodation.

Financial contribution toward conference registration, travel and accommodation (up to £1,750) to attend and present at the SLAS conference.

Scholars based in Latin America, including PhD students, university-affiliated researchers, independent researchers based in Latin America, and early-career researchers who can participate in person at the SLAS conference.

Applicants must submit an application through the SLAS Latin American Scholars Grants application form.
