Funding for participation of student teams in International Competitions (academic year 2024-2025)

The programme provides financial awards to teams of students from Greek higher education institutions to support participation in international competitions. It awards a lump-sum amount per participating student and sets a maximum funding ceiling per team. Applications are submitted by university departments to the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) and evaluated by the IKY Administrative Board. The scheme covers competitions and distinctions occurring in 2024 and funds implementation for the 2024-2025 academic year.

One-off cash award of €500 per participating student; maximum €5,000 per team.

Teams of students from Greek higher education institutions (AEI) that won or were distinguished in international competitions held between 2024-01-01 and 2024-12-15; applications are signed by the team's scientific supervisor and submitted via the department secretariat.

University departments submit a signed application form and supporting documents (copy of award title, organiser's certificate listing team members, description of the competition) to IKY via the department secretariat; application form is available on the IKY website.
