PhD in Industry – PHD IN INDUSTRY/1123

The PHD IN INDUSTRY/1123 is a Cyprus national programme funding doctoral research projects carried out by PhD students employed by Cypriot companies and supervised jointly with an academic institution. Projects must align with the company's activities and the student's dissertation, and fall within Life Sciences or Physical Sciences and Engineering (applications of social/humanities to these areas are eligible). The programme provides project funding (maximum €150,000 per project) and access to free innovation and knowledge transfer support services from the Foundation.

Cypriot companies, research organisations and other entities may apply as host organisations; the host must be a company employing at least 8 persons and have turnover of €70,000 in the last year. Participation must include the academic institution where the researcher is enrolled. The researcher must be a PhD student employed by a Cypriot company and enrolled at a Cypriot academic institution.
