IKY Scholarships for Doctoral Candidates at the European University Institute (Florence) 2024-2025

The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) awards seven doctoral scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year for study at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. Scholarships support doctoral studies in the EUI departments of History and Civilization, Political and Social Sciences, Law, and Economics. The awards provide a monthly stipend and additional payments as specified by the programme. Eligibility, terms and selection rules are set by the IKY programme regulation.

Monthly stipend of €1,500 for three years and a one-time/periodic additional payment of €1,200 (as specified by the programme).

Greek citizens holding a Master's degree or equivalent (or enrolled in the final year of postgraduate studies subject to submission of the diploma by early September 2024), holders of a Greek Tax Identification Number (AFM), not already holding a doctoral degree, and not currently receiving another IKY doctoral scholarship. Male candidates must have completed or be legally exempted from military service or be eligible for deferral; public servants with permanent contracts must have or obtain study leave.
