Project 89-UQ Scholarship

The Project 89-UQ Scholarship is a postgraduate research (PhD) scholarship for Vietnamese candidates supported by the Vietnamese Government's Project 89 initiative with involvement from The University of Queensland. The scholarship provides tuition fee support, a supplementary living allowance while candidates are in Australia, health insurance and one return airfare from Vietnam to Australia. The scholarship supports full-time completion of a PhD at UQ and the number of awards may vary.

Tuition fees (gap covered), supplementary living allowance (to UQ minimum base stipend), health insurance in Australia, one return airfare from Vietnam to Australia.

Prospective PhD candidates who meet UQ's PhD entry requirements, are Vietnamese citizens, satisfy Project 89 selection criteria, and meet UQ's English proficiency requirements.

Apply and obtain an offer of admission to a PhD program at UQ and state you are applying for Project 89; then submit a separate application and supporting documents to Project 89 via the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training by their deadlines; notify UQ if awarded.
