TC Beirne School of Law Leadership, Excellence and Diversity (LEAD) Scholarship

The TC Beirne School of Law Leadership, Excellence and Diversity (LEAD) Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship for domestic students commencing the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at The University of Queensland. The scholarship provides $8,000 per year for up to five years. Recipients also receive a dedicated academic mentor and a non-residential membership of a UQ college in their first year. The scholarship supports applicants who can demonstrate educational, social and/or financial disadvantage.

$8,000 per year for up to five years; dedicated academic mentor; non-residential membership of a UQ college in first year (meals, events, use of recreational facilities and related services).

Domestic students who completed senior schooling in Australia within two years of application (or will complete it in the year of application), intend to enrol and gain admission as a commencing student in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2026 (including dual programs) or have accepted an offer to commence in 2026, have not completed prior tertiary study at bachelor level or higher, can demonstrate educational, social and/or financial disadvantage, and are available for a formal interview with UQ.

Apply to study law at UQ via QTAC (Bachelor of Law (Honours) or dual degree as 1st or 2nd preference), submit Educational Access Scheme documentation through QTAC if applicable, complete the LEAD Scholarship application form and apply to the UQ Undergraduate Law Admission Scheme (ULAS) in the same form, and attend interview if required.
