Germany Bilateral Collaborative R&D: round 5

Germany Bilateral Collaborative R&D: round 5 is a competitive funding competition enabling UK registered SMEs to develop collaborative R&D proposals with German SMEs. Projects must be collaborative between at least one UK SME (lead) and at least one separate Germany-registered SME applying under the equivalent German ZIM programme. The competition makes available a share of up to £2.4 million to UK participants.

To lead a project an organisation must be a UK-registered micro, small or medium-sized enterprise. Projects must collaborate with at least one separate Germany-registered SME; the competition is open only to UK–Germany collaborations.

UK-registered SMEs apply via the Innovation Funding Service and UKRI application routes; projects must include a collaborating Germany-registered SME applying under the equivalent German ZIM programme.
