Legacy Trades Scholarship Program

The Legacy Trades Scholarship Program provides tuition assistance for children and grandchildren of Alabama Power Company employees who are pursuing a trade degree at eligible Alabama colleges. Recipients receive a $4,000 award, with up to five awards granted each year, strictly for tuition costs. Selections consider academic performance, leadership, work experience, goals, and personal circumstances, with financial need not a factor.

Tuition assistance of up to $4,000; up to five awards per cycle; payments processed in January.

Applicants must be a child, stepchild, grandchild, or step-grandchild of a full-time Alabama Power Company employee (IBEW union) with at least one year of employment as of the deadline, be a high school senior or graduate (including GED), and be accepted into or applying for a Line Worker Program at an eligible Alabama college.
