10 Fully Funded Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Climate and Development at the University of Cape Town 2027

The Africa Climate Collaborative Postdoctoral Researcher Programme offers 10 fully funded postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Cape Town for recently graduated African PhD researchers in climate and development. Fellows participate in a cohort-based programme with mentorship, structured professional development and opportunities to conduct independent research under the supervision of UCT researchers over a three-year period. Funding includes a tax-free stipend and additional allowances for eligible expenses such as relocation, medical insurance, research costs and conference attendance.

Tax-free annual stipend of R380,000; additional up to R130,000 over three years for eligible expenses; structured career development and mentorship; integration into a cohort of postdoctoral researchers.

Applicants must be recently graduated African PhD researchers ready to develop independent research careers.
