Information

The program provides a travel allowance and a monthly research allowance to support fieldwork and related activities. The focus areas include African food systems, pastoralism, digitalization, and gender dynamics in land rights, aiming to strengthen policy-relevant research and linkages to land governance reforms in Africa.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of an African country, have completed at least a first university degree, be enrolled or a staff member at a NELGA partner university or associated institution, and have permission to take a leave of absence for the field study.

Application

Submit the DAAD application form along with CV, detailed research proposal, weekly schedule, supervisory letter, diplomas, transcripts, and a reference.
