Pioneer Innovator Grant

The Pioneer Innovator Grant funds novel academic, science-based ideas with commercial potential to accelerate proof-of-concept and commercialisation within the health sciences, sustainability, and quantum technologies with clear health or sustainability applications. Projects should have clear scaling potential and later commercialization possibilities and cannot directly benefit an established company. Grants support experiments and activities that advance ideas toward proof-of-concept and development of new products, systems, devices or technological platforms.

Project funding up to DKK 1.2 million for one year to advance experiments and activities toward proof-of-concept and commercialisation.

The main applicant must be a faculty member, a researcher or a student employed at a university, hospital, or other research institution in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, or Sweden). Co-applicants may be included and may come from institutions locally or abroad. The grant must be administered by a non-profit hosting institution; it cannot be given to a company. Projects must be directly linked to health or sustainability.
